Walnut Anise Biscotti
Ingredients
3 Eggs - Beaten
1 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Butter Melted and cooled
1 Oz (28g) Anise Seeds
2 Cups Flour
2 Tsp Baking Powder
2 Tsp Vanilla
1 Tsp Anise Extract
1 Cup Chopped Walnuts
Directions
Soak Anise Seeds in Brandy (2 hours or overnight)
Preheat oven to 350 Degrees F
Beat Eggs, add sugar, butter, and Anise Seeds(Brandy Drained) and mix well
Add Flour and baking powder. Mix
Add vanilla, Anise extract and Walnuts. Mix
Spread mixture on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper. Should be about 3/4 inches thick
Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes
Remove from oven and let cool for 5 minutes
Cut into 3/4 inch x 4 inch rectangles
Place on side and bake for 10 minutes
Flip to other side and bake for another 5-8 minutes till golden brown
Cool and store in airtight container
