Ingredients
1.5 Lbs - Chicken Breast (Cubed). I use 2 large Breasts
1/4 C. - Honey (Its sweet with this, use less if want it less sweet)
1/4 C. - Low Sodium Soy Sauce
1/4 C. - hoisin sauce
1/4 Tsp - Red Pepper Flake
2 Tbls - Canola Oil
1 Tsp - Garlic Powder
1 Tsp - Onion Powder
1/2 Tsp - Paprika
1-3 Tbls - Cornstarch
2 Cups Cooked Rice
Directions
Rinse and cook 2 scoops of rice in your rice cooker
The sauce is doubled because we like sauce. If you want sticky glaze, 1/2 the sauce ingredients
In a medium bowl, mix Honey, Soy Sauce, Hoisin, and Red Pepper Flake
In a large bowl, add chicken and sprinkle garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and mix till equally distributed
Add Cornstarch till chicken is coated with cornstarch
When Rice is almost done, heat oil over med-high heat in a large skillet
Add Chicken when oil is hot and brown the outsides of the chicken. About 2 minutes per side. Chicken will not be done
Add Honey sauce and simmer till chicken is 165 degrees internal and the sauce has thickened to your liking
We add the rice to the pan and coat all rice with the sauce in the pan. You can either do this or serve the chicken and sauce over rice
